Tomorrow is both the Fall Equinox and the beginning of Libra season, making it the perfect time to think about balance. The Fall Equinox is one of two days in the year where the amount of light/daytime is equal to the amount of dark/nighttime. In other words, the balance between light and dark. Libra is represented by the scales of justice and is the sign of harmony and balance.
But balance doesn't always mean equal.
If you think about balancing the scales of justice it matters what you're putting on each side. If you put quarters on both sides, you'll need the same amount on each in order for the scales to balance. But if you put quarters on one side and cookies on the others, you'll need different amounts on each to find balance.
The same thing is true for life balance. It doesn't necessarily mean spending equal time at home and at work. Or equal time alone or with others.
It means finding the distribution that feels even for you.
When you look at your Human Design chart you'll see nine centers. Some will be colored in and some will be white. The colored in ones are your defined centers. The white ones are your open centers.
Your defined centers are your energetic transmitters. It's the energy you create within yourself and put out into the world. Your open centers are your energetic receivers. You pick up on this energy from other people.
Because your chart is unique to you, your energetic balance will not be the same as anyone else.
The more open centers you have in your chart, the more energy you take on from other people. This likely means your balance includes more alone time than time with others. If this is you, try to find some time each day to be fully alone and dispel some of the energy you've taken on. Even if you spend most of your day around others, consider:
Taking a short walk or sitting outside alone for a few minutes
Spending some time in a room by yourself energetically sealed off from others
Centering yourself in your own energy through grounding and meditation
The more defined centers you have in your chart, the more energy you create on your own. This likely means your balance includes more time with others than alone. All of that energy needs somewhere to go. If you work from home or live alone, consider:
Scheduling regular outings with other people like group exercise, happy hour or taking a class
Attending meetings on camera so you have more interaction with others
Spending part of your work day in public places like coffee shops, libraries or coworking spaces
When you have personal energetic balance, it's much easier to find balance in other areas of your life as well.
